Took Holly to the rabbit dentist [aka vet] just now to get his teeth trimmed down. It was noted that his head is actually straightening up a bit even though he's off the medication now, and the discharge from his right eye is completely gone - the fluid had actually worn at the hair and created a small baldish patch, which has all grown back now, and he's been putting on weight. His spine doesn't feel knobbly anymore when I run my knuckles down his back. The last three rabbits they had in with the same parasite all had it get into their kidneys and sadly died from it but aside from the tilt misaligning his teeth (and one of them got rotted, which was removed last time) he is recovering super well. Said I'd have to get him neutered soon and they commented that we hadn't expected him to live long enough for it, and yet he is currently running laps and periodically zipping past under my chair. Gave him some treats when we got in. They may just remove his front teeth when we neuter him as he doesn't really need them, and with one of the top ones missing even if we got them aligned right again one of the bottom ones would have nothing to grind against. So maybe. We don't know yet.
