I have confirmed that there appears to not be any lionhead rabbits in New Zealand. This makes me sad. That's three small breeds that never made it here that I'd otherwise like to get - American Fuzzy Lops, Polish and Lionhead. Seriously, lionheads have short fur all over their body except for long hair on their heads. How awesome is that?

Instead if I get a second rabbit I suspect it will be a light coloured Dutch or minilop (fawn or blue with white for Dutch and god only knows for a lop because they come in every colour ever). Or a Dutch x lop, since I have actually seen more than one litter of those advertised and mix breeds can be healthier than purebreds.

I've written nothing today, but it's not 4pm yet and I'm not cooking or cleaning tonight so I should still have time to do stuff. I'm coming up on the dramatic climax of the thing I'm writing, and once it's finished I'm going to go on to something else, so really I guess it's NaFicWriMo.

I apparently have the same birthday as St Aloysius. Also Chingy, Matthew Gray Gubler and the BTK killer.

Astra would pick Charms, or in BW-era the household magic course. Benjy, obviously, Arithmancy (or Healing, if in an era or fanon where that's an option). Pepper I think would take great delight in teaching History of Magic Reenacted by Dinosaurs. You know, for the boring bits.

We just power-logged Pepper and Rabastan's round three fight. It's short and intense and ends on a depressing note and nowhere near as ridiculously hilarious as Pepper-Bellatrix. But it's done! All pasted into the main doc and everything. Currently waiting on one tag in Florence's log so I can write her death tag, and hopefully we can use a bunch of high powered spells and, idk, hit people with a rogue bludger in the five-person round two fight so it doesn't drag on too long either. And then I'll be done!

More spoilers zomg. I'm not doing one of these for Into the Silence because I just... didn't take any notes when I was reading it. It was good, but of the three it was the weakest, I think, though it may just be that it was the most Gwen-heavy and I wanted more Ianto.

I have read two more Torchwood books and I like these ones that are set in mid season two because they actually have Ianto in them. I was expecting to like Trace Memory more than Pack Animals, but Pack Animals was so much fucking cooler. That shit was awesome. (Though Ianto's "I am bored, barefoot, eating pizza and having a James Bondathon" moments in TM were pretty neat. And him and Jack "having the place to themselves", but only as long as it didn't interrupt his James Bondathon. I'm imagining Jack doing distracting things to him while he watches Goldfinger, now...)

I took my bunny for a walk :D Well really, he took me for a walk - you don't lead bunnies on leashes, you let them lead, the leash is basically just a safety net in case of unexpected trouble, but he seemed to have fun either way. He nommed a lot of dandelion leaves and explored our side lawn and a path and some steps, and sat super quietly as I carried him outside and back inside all snuggled up in my arms.

Of course I forgot to bring a camera out and now my feets are damp, but oh well. I learned how to get the harness on with a minimum of fuss (cuddle him in my lap to the point where he'll let me just pick him up and arrange things around him) so I can photo him another time.

I spam ur flists.

Rabbit nails. Clipped. All of them. I got him to let me pick up his front feet and I did some of them then, and then I went, "screw this" and picked him up, held onto him, put him in my lap and kept him there until he stopped trying to get away. Then I trimmed the rest of the nails I could find and he just sat there quite calmly. He got tons of pats and "good boy!!" every time I trimmed one and then after I put him down he got a piece of carrot peel from last night.

Hopefully this will become easier from now on.

Well today I got a nail clipper and slicker brush for Holly. Results: he loves the brush. He came over to me when I let him out after dinner like usual for his cuddlings and after I started grooming him he just sat there going "oh, yeah, missed a bit over here" and then when I paused he'd turn around and start licking any bit of me he could reach. Fucking adorable.

I also managed to clip... one nail. He's fine with the nail clippers. No problem at all. He just doesn't particularly want me picking up his feet and moving the fur around so I can peer at his nails. Which I guess is understandable. I'd be weirded out too if a giant was picking up my feet. He was happy to sit on my lap and be petted and eat a bit of carrot peel though, so I'm definitely getting improvements on the being handled thing, as well as the fact that he does run up to me for head-scritches and cuddles and grooms me back in return. So I seem to have a super happy bunny who likes to run and jump and play. :D

Also, I would kind of like to RP Ianto.

Also again, I have a Sims house with Martha, Ianto and Jack, and the first things Ianto and Jack did were have a pillow fight and admire each other. Jack also frequently has the want "change into undies" and while on a date with Ianto had the want "ask sim on date". It's like they know him!

Today I
-put the washing out
-slept (with the aid of drugs, admittedly...)
-encouraged bunny to use his digging box by blatantly bribing him with carrot
-got the harness on bunny with a minimum of fuss
-rewarded this by taking bunny outside for the first time! he wasn't too sure about this but quickly realised that the entire ground was covered in things that were good to eat. Then he fell over. I think he was trying to binky.
-finished one of the three Pepper/Aloysius smutfics I was trying to write. One. *sigh*

Florence is maudlin coz it was her birthday and the world sucks. Dung's pretty Dung-ish. Astra's crying a lot because Marius has been missing for two and a half days and someone owled her his broken wand. Pepper hates everything and is pretending to be cheerful. Oh, RP, how can I ever quit you?

Captain Holly says he needs a doctor coz he has a serious case of the handsomes. He is a broken sooty fawn mini lop, 8 weeks old today (born 17 January) and he is the cutest, softest, gooshiest thing in the WORLD.

He is at present hopping around his cage trying to figure out wtf is what.

The first two episodes of The Tribe finished downloading and I'm watching the pilot. It's so cheesetastic! And the acting is utterly awful but I don't even care.

And the best thing about New Zealand shows is always spotting the distinctly kiwi things like road signs and wheelie bins and the buildings and plants and police cars.

I feel like I will totally be doing more iconning from this.
